How to boost your Immune System?

How to boost your Immune System?

18 January 2022

The first month of a new year comes with it the opportunity to start over. But, to embrace new challenges and discover what future reserves to you, you need to be physically and mentally well prepared. So, taking care of your body and promoting your well-being are fundamental priorities if you want to see your goals being successfully achieved.

We are in the middle of winter, the favorite time of the year for flu and colds. We are living the days with a frantic velocity, in the middle of the chaos and stress, in a constant binomial between the time that we have and the stuff we want to do. We feel tired and confused. In the blink of an eye, it seems that our defenses have dropped their guard and, when we look around us, everybody feels sick.

The truth is that if in Europe the flu activity has decreased more than 99% between October 2020 and June 2021, this year I fear that this is not going to happen. On the other hand, I also dare to say that, in the last months, few were the people that didn't have felt symptoms like cough, runny nose or a slightly sore throat (not talking about the current epidemiological reports regarding COVID-19 infections).

During the last two years, we have been protecting ourselves in a way that we have never done before. However, although we are building our own dome, the question is: Is our immune system stronger? Well... Our body gives us many signs that can show us that it is not: excessive tiredness, hair loss, recurrent infections (such as cold sores or minor skin disorders) and respiratory problems. Taking this into account, perhaps we all know how important is to look for solutions and to have in prevention the most effective of all treatments. It is from this point of view that health should be observed: as a continuous process, as a permanent construction and, above all of this, as our more precious asset. Therefore, if there is a way to enhance the amazing ability that our body has to trigger defense processes, why don't we do it when we know that sometimes our immune system doesn't have the capacity to give a quick answer to the threats that it is a constant target?

So, we have already heard about the countless benefits that vitamins (such as C and D vitamins) bring to our immune system and maybe we can also recognize the importance of trace elements such as copper, magnesium, selenium and zinc in their processes. In general, all these nutrients can be found in our food. However, nowadays, do we have the time we wanted to prepare truly balanced meals? Has the food maintained the same quality as it had in the last decades? Do we know the richness of our soils? And the intricacies of the food processing steps? So, and what about us? Do we peel or do we unwrap more?

Perhaps the relevance of these questions can be a motto for a reflection about the role that we develop as human beings on this Planet but, it is also a door that reveals the importance of supplementation for a healthy life.

And it is precisely to promote health and find solutions that can positively impact the lives of those who accompany us that we work for. As such, I decided to select only four products: dietary supplements that I consider to be endowed with an excellent value-quality relation. With different pharmaceutical forms, the truth is that any of them will be a great ally to help you overcome the challenges that are usually associated with the colder seasons.

Let's start with vitamin C: the ex-libris of all immunostimulating supplements. Despite being usually presented in the form of effervescent tablets, Pharma Nord decided to design a different product (in tablets), without acidity, but with a reasonable dose of vitamin C (750 mg/tablet) to give you cellular protection and to improve your immune system.

Moreover, the same can be said of the Natura Mix Advanced sachets: a 100% natural product, with numerous bioactive compounds with antioxidant properties, which is an asset especially for more demanding periods, marked by greater tiredness and fatigue. In this way, thanks to royal jelly, which is also found in Arkopharma's ampoules (Arkoreal Royal Jelly Immunity Bio), the body is strengthened and energy is restored, which is also due to the presence of propolis, echinacea root and pollen extracts in this last dietary supplement.

Finally, and back to the tablets, WinFit Immuno D3 appears: a very complete product to take care of the health of the immune system. This is because, in addition to Vitamin C and Vitamin D, it also has 15 mg of zinc, 500 mg of echinacea and 250 mg of elderberry in its composition.

Whether in sachets, ampoules or tablets, the important thing is that each of these options offers you the necessary compounds to keep you stronger and, consequently, healthier. Taking care of your health is a resolution for life! And it for you to reach it that we walk hand in hand with you, along this journey!

See you soon!
